These days, I’ve become quite the flasher. Of my Maxnetic card, that is!

The Maxnetic card, MAX, for short, is a privilege card with attitude - from a daring website and a personality that can’t be ignored (MAX has his own facebook account and converses with his “friends”, highlighting the latest happenings and promotions, regularly), MAX as the new kid on the block is definitely outdoing any other privilege cards. Speaking of which, I can’t even think of a card that compares. Suffice to say, privilege cards don’t generally go very far. But I think, MAX will be different!

MAX was birthed by the owners of one of KL’s almost underground nightspots, i.e. the Attic. They launched MAX midway through the year and have been doing a great job of growing his network of merchants and users. Their aim? To promote the charms and lesser-known side of this city to its dwellers. The concept, simple. By linking MAX to restaurants, clothing outlets, and hair salons, MAX users get a discount or freebie at each of his associated merchants.

Of course, it helps that the brains behind Maxnetic (Hi, Kyan!) seem to have all the right connections around town. Hooking up with some of the growing local brands like Delicious and Shoes, Shoes, Shoes, and utilizing local celebrities to front MAX’s events, has helped to get the word out.

I have to admit I love my Maxnetic card. It’s introduced me to some fabulous finds (Cava’s Sangria and Bisou cupcakes). Ooh … and tonight, MAX is throwing yet another fabulous party.

I can’t wait.
